CrossFit 623 Success Story - Ed

Ed Morgan was an avid community Saturday WOD’er at CrossFit 623 for a while. That was until he decided to become a full pledge member at 623. He started about two years ago, when his friend Hardy told him about 623. Ever since then, he continued coming to the Saturday WODs. When asked what made him come back he stated, “The atmosphere and people kept me coming back. The camaraderie and support is awesome.”

CrossFit 623 Success Story - Ed Hiking At my heaviest I weighed in at 288 pounds. I was around 260 when I started coming to CF623. Before CrossFit, my routine was walking and jogging.

CrossFit 623 Success Story - Ed & SonI was motivated at first, but I got bored real fast. I was not seeing the results that I wanted. So I finally decided to take Hardy’s advice and I went to one of the free community WODs being offered by 623. Since then I never looked back. I was hooked from that first time. I like that the workouts are varied, it’s never boring, and always challenging. I have seen a lot of progress since then. I have lost 40 pounds and looking to lose 20 more!

CrossFit 623 Success Story - Ed Before & AfterI love CrossFit 623 because everyone has been so encouraging from the coaches to my fellow athletes. I wish that I had a better schedule so I could come more often. In a short amount of time, I have learned so much about myself – finding out that I can do things that I never thought I could before. I know that I’ve made the right decision by choosing a healthier lifestyle and not just follow a fad diet. I also learned that the only way to a healthy lifestyle is through hard work and dedication. CrossFit 623 definitely changed my life.
